I just thought that you would appreciate a correction to the father's name for Elihu Sisson, buried in Orchard Grove Cemetery (Cedar Creek Twp., Lake County, Indiana). The error comes from the misreading of a biography given in "The History of Hocking Valley Ohio… " (Chicago, Inter-State Publishing Co. 1883). It is for G.W., or George W. Sisson… actually a brother of Elihu, but much too quickly turns into more info for their father Daniel and mother Fannie Fuller. The resulting confusion on the internet, and even with the Latter-Day Saints data, has not been of help to those researching with this premise. I hope that you will have the opportunity to help correct it… simply by checking the text of this biography on the internet and in the 1850 census, or in the attached file for your convenience. I ask you to keep my name in your confidence, but will attempt to answer any of your questions if need by. By the way, Daniel's children were Cynthian (or Cynthia Ann), George W., Caroline, Elihu A.(or Elihue), Alanson D. (a.k.a. Lantz – twin of Elihu), Harvey B., Mary Ellen (a.k.a. Mollie), and Harriet A. He also had a stepchild Mahalia Kirby (by Fannie's earlier marriage to William H. Kirby). Elihu had children Florence E., Laura E., Ellsworth E. (twin of Laura), Nellie, William, and Walter (twin of William)..
