Mrs. Birdie Alice Griffitts, 78, of Charleston, died Sunday at Capitol City Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the former owner of L&W Restaurant on the Boulevard and also former owner of the Cricket Grill on Virginia St. E.
She was formerly from Tuppers Creek. Surviving: stepson, James Edward Griffith of St. Albans. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson. Funeral Home with the Rev. J.E. Bud Legg officiating. Burial will bein Floral Hills Memory Garden, Pocatalico.
