Wheat was a father of three girls. Born in Texas to father John Wheat Wilborn and mother Amy Beatrice McAden, he later was blessed with his younger brother Richard whom he loved dearly for all of his life.

The name "Wheat" was first known in our family by his Great Grandfather Zackary Wheat Wilborn who handed in down to his son John Wheat, who in turn handed it down to his son, my father, Munsey Wheat. There's a "Wheat" thing going on out there ya know.....even his Brother named his son Ronnie Wheat and he of course named his son Benjamin "you-guessed-it" Wheat. That's a whole crop of wheat for you.

He kept his private pilot liscence current for forty years flying out of many of the so. cal airports.

I'll forever be known to him as "The kid" and of course "Karen-the-Red-Baron".
