Obituary - Huntington, IN Herald-Press - Sunday, July 3, 1955

Mrs. Clella Huffman, 77, died at 8 p.m. Friday at the Huntington county hospital. She had been seriously ill for two weeks and in failing health for five years.

Mrs. Huffman was a resident of Warren and a lifelong resident of the county.

She was born October 2, 1877, in Huntington county to Turner and Elvira Hamilton Stroup. Her first marriage was to John Shadle, who died in 1904. Her second marriage was to John Scott Huffman, January 25, 1910. He died January 18, 1944.

Survivors include two daughters by the second marriage, Mrs. William (Mary) Elliott, Warren route three, and Mrs. John (Martha) Lannerd, Indianapolis; two step-sons, Harry Huffman, Warren route three, and Everett Huffman, Warren; six grandchildren, a great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Sara Colbert, Mt. Zion, and a brother, Floyd Stroup, Warren.

Mrs. Huffman was a member of the First Baptist church in Warren.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday at the H. Brown and Son funeral home in Warren where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. N. M. Bodenhorn, pastor of the Warren First Baptist church officiating.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Montpelier.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clella huffman were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the H. Brown and Son funeral home in Warren, The Rev. N. M. Bodenhorn officiating. Organist was Miss Mary Wilhelm.

Pallbearers were Charles Waite, Arthur Gurtner, Paul Doversberger, Wilson Jones, Harry Huffman and Landon Shultz. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.Marr: 1st 3 April 1897 Huntington County, Indiana
