Neva Dean Akin, 85, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1993.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Chapel of Schooler-Gordon-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. James E. Garrett of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mrs. Akin was born in Houston. She married Buddy Akin in 1933 at Colorado City. He died in 1984. She moved to Amarillo from Hereford in 1957. She was a homemaker and a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Nora Pokrinchak and Candy Harz, both of Amarillo; a son, Ward Akin of Amarillo; two sisters, Pauline Tidwell of Round Rock and Alberta Frank of Big Spring.
The family will be at 800 S. Kentucky or 6702 Bengal Court.
