Ivanette Ashley, 81, of Rockmart passed away Sunday, Nov. 20. She was born Aug. 25, 1924 in Polk County, the daughter of the late John and Bannie Moore Roberson. She was a homemaker and a member of Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hugh, John, Parker and Doyle Roberson. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Delbert Ashley of Rockmart; a son, Mr. Danny Ashley of Cedartown; two daughters, Mrs. Dale Wills of Cedartown and Mrs. Janet McChargue of Rockmart; a sister, Mrs. Nadine Bennett of Aragon; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Hopper and Rev. Carlton Duke officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Bennett, Ricky Bennett, Richie Argo, Jon Argo, Ray Roberson and Jerry Wayne Roberson.
