Death leaves a heart ache
That no one can heal...
Love leaves a memory
That no one can steal...

Travis was 17 years old when he died. He was struck and killed in Clayton, NC., where he resided, by a pick up truck on a rural interstate. He and his brother had moved there to work.

He was the son of Waitman (Steve) and Dora (Jeanne) Hughart Burdette. Travis was the brother of Stephen (Scott) Burdette. He was preceded in death by a special cousin Tammy Renee Dolder. His Grandparents was Delores Ann and Glenn Joseph Hughart and Leatha Emily and Edgar Marion Burdette.

His funeral was at Cunningham Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Moles officiateing. Burial was made in the Hughart Family Cemetery on Walker Dr, (Tuppers Creek).

Travis was a very tender hearted young man. He was loyal to his friends. He always enjoyed playing video games and talking to his friends on the phone. He would sit on our front porch and watch the squarrels across the road on the hill. He could spot them so easy. He had a special girl that he thought the world of, and a few special select friends. He thought the world and all of his brother Scott and his grandma's and grandpa. I just wonder what would have been if he had lived. His death is the worse thing I have ever had to deal with. He will forever be in my heart and thoughts.

Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.
God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you
no one will ever know.

I thought of you with love today,
but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
I think of you in silence.
I often speak your name.
All I have are memories
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake,
with which I'll never part,
God has you in His keeping:
I have you in my heart.

Death leaves a heart ache
That no one can heal...
Love leaves a memory
That no one can steal...
