The Comet (East Berlin, PA)

He was educated first in the public schools and at a private academy in Newville. Early in life he began teaching in the public schools. He next entered the state normal school at Millersville, from which he graduated in 1872. He immediately was elected professor of mathematics, occupying the post until 1883. He then taught in numerous schools in Adams county and in 1890 returned to teaching at Millersville until 1905. He retired to his Latimore township where he became interested in his farm and orchard.

Professor Albert was married in 1876 to Miss Hannah M. Mauger, who he met at Millersvile. She preceded him in death.

He was survived by one son, Frank Albert of Philadelphia, and one daughter, Miss Edna Albert; a sister Mrs. Mary Leer of York Springs.

The deceased was a son of George and Susannah Miller Albert.
