Duncan J. Barbee, 85, of Auburn died at noon Saturday at the Dirksen House. He was born in Illinois the son of Byron and Mary Jane McTaggart Barbee. Before his retirement he was a partner and operater of Ramsey & Barbee Chevrolet in Auburn. He attended Millikin University in Decatur. Mr. Barbee was a member of the Auburn First Baptist Church, Ansar Shrine and Past Grand Master of the Auburn Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Bess Janet (Ward); two sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Ingels of DeSoto, Mo. and Mrs. Kathleen LaRue of West Palm Beach, Fl.; four nieces and 1 nephew. Remains were cremated. Ashes to be buried in Auburn Cemetery. Berry Funeral Home, Auburn is in charge of arrangements.
