Lewis Odell Stockman was born on Sand Mountain, in northeast Alabama to William Virgle Stockman and Rosie Lee Blackwell Stockman.
He was the father of 8 and had 12 brothers/sisters. He was preceeded in death by his parents, 3 sons - Lewis DeWayne Stockman, Rex Stockman, Roy Lee Stockman and 5 siblings.
I am the youngest of his 8 children. I never knew my father. I was only 7 months old when he was killed in a car accident. He was one month shy of his 60th birthday when he was killed. Even though I didn't know my father, I grew up hearing about the man he was and I am proud to be his daughter.
