Lina Katherina "Greta" Knuettel was born in Meinstein, Gersfeld, Hessen, Germany, July 30, 1899 the daughter of Johann Knuettel and Katharina Fisher.
She married Johann Karl Schleicher on August 22, 1921 in Gersfeld, Hessen, Germany. Together they had three children, Lina (my mother) Theodor and George Schleicher.
Grandma was a gentle, good hearted person. She worked hard raising her family.
During WWII she became infected with Hepatitis C, which never was treated correctly.
She raised us children while Mom and Dad worked fulltime.
She became very ill in 1972 from liver cirrosis which took her life in 1973.
She was and still is greadly missed to this day.
