Funeral services for Eva Idella "Della" Hamon, 88, of Hollister were held Friday at Whelchel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jay Scribner officiating. Burial was in Cedar Valley Cemetery. She died on May 20, 1987 at Rolling Hills Nursing Home. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Hamon, on September 2, 1985. She is survived by her daughters, Alice Ruth Berry of Hermiston, Oregon, Lena Pearl Plott of Nixa, Evelyn Hamon of Salina, Kansas, and Alta Mae Cary of Hollister; her sons, Lloyd Raymond Hamon and Arthur Wendle Hamon, both of Omaha, Arkansas, David Hamon of Raytown, Carrol Eugene Hamon of Longmont, Colorado, and Gordon William Hamon of Kirbyville; her brother, Claud Edward Littrell of Cedar Vale, Kansas; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.∼She is listed as being buried in the Oasis Cemetery and her grave was transferred to the Cedar Valley Cemetery.
