Born in Charleston, South Carolina, she graduated from Barberton High School in 1940 and was a longtime resident of Canal Fulton. She was employed for 33 years in the offices of J.C. Penney and was a member of Barberton First Church of Christ and later the Clinton Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank C. Billings, she is survived by children, Thomas (Sandra) Billings of Akron, Lynn (Alan) Clark of Cuyahoga Falls, Philip (JoLane) Billings of Wadsworth; sister, Carolyn (Ernie) Miller of Clinton; grandchildren, Jill (Tony) Ross of Canal Fulton, Kristin (Robert) Grande of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Megan Billings of Wadsworth; great-grandchildren, Catlin, Rachel and Zachary of Canal Fulton; good friend, Marion Price of Canal Fulton; and special companion, Roy Velie of Norton.
Funeral service MONDAY, 1 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron. Friends may call one hour prior to service on MONDAY at the funeral home.
