Velma was the oldest of eleven children born to Homer Aldon and Amy Hannah (Edwards) Morgan of Rupert, Minidoka co., Idaho. Born 10 Feb 1920, in Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho; she did not have any children of her own.

Velma Lucille "Bert" Morgan was married to Robert Glen Baptie, on Sept. 25, 1965, in Elko, Nev. Together they pursued their occupation, and were always present for the Woolgrowers meetings.

While residing at their ranch, near Carey, in the foothills of the Sawtooth mountains, 15 miles out of town on a dirt road, in Muldoon, "Bert" enjoyed entertaining folks from around the world and through the years kept a guest book filled with signatures and salutations of good wishes.

Lambing time was a busy time for her and she enjoyed nursing the spring lambs, at times taking one into the home that would not survive the rigors of the lambing shed. In the 1980s, they wintered "down" at Twin Falls, Idaho, where the winters were milder and they were not so isolated as they were in the valley at Muldoon.

"Bert" was preceeded in death by her fourth husband, of 18 years, Robert Glen Baptie; son of John and Enid Lucille (Greene) Baptie; family reports she passed 22 May 1994, in Acequia, Minidoka co., Idaho.
