Daughter of Daniel Lane and Elizabeth (__?__).

Anderson Hugh Darneille married Mary Lane (cousin to Elizabeth, his first wife) on 19 May, 1844, in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.

His second wife, Mary Lane, died while she and Anderson were on their way to Coos Bay to visit a son. Not sure if she died in Coos County or Josephine County.

Mary Lane Darneille is actually buried in Croxton Cemetery but due to vandalism, her headstone has disappeared. Her name is found on the memorial plaque at the headstone circle in Croxton Park in Grants Pass, O5.

She is memoralized on her husband's grave marker in Missouri Flat Cemetery in Jackson County, but is not buried there. A brief history of their trek to the Oregon Country in 1853 on the Oregon Trail can be seen at Anderson Hugh Darneille's memorial.
