Roy W. Mills

Peru-Roy W. Mills, 68, 627 E. Main Street, died at 10:30 p.m. in Duke Hospital after several years illness.

He was a retired woodworker and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served overseas in World War I.

Mr. Mills was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite, Bunker Hill Order of Eastern Star. and Disabled Veterans Organization.

Born At Roanoke County, Virginia, January 27, 1901, he was the son of Robert L. and Nettie (Fralin) Mills. He was married to Margaret Jones on May 2, 1936, and she survives.

Also surviving are one son, G. Lee Mills, Birmingham, Alabama; one grandson, three brothers, Walter and James Mills, both of Peru; Robert Mills, Tuscon Arizona, and a sister, Miss Gertrude Mills, Peru.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Eilkenberry-Murray Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. A masonic memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday.
