Lieutenant John Townsend Young was a resident of Angola, Indiana and was a member of company K of the 152nd Indiana Infantry. He enlisted on March 16, 1865, and mustered out of the army at Clarksburg, West Virginia on October 30th, 1865. He died at the age of 94 years and was the last Civil War veteran to die in Allen County, Indiana.
