Mary's birth information is per the American Genealogical-Biographical Index (AGBI), Volume 166, Page 365.

Per the U.S., New England Marriages Prior to 1700, Mary [?Stanley] and Zechariah Field were married in about 1643. This information is in the Deerfield/Northampton/Hatfield/ Hadley section and the date is written as 1643, ca 1641.

Mary is believed to be the daughter of Christopher Stanley and Susanna Aspinwell (please see attached photo), however, more research is needed to prove her parentage. Same with her birth place, which many believe to be in Boston, which is impossible since Boston wasn't founded until 1630.*

Also, according to the ship manifest for the "Elizabeth and Ann", Christopher Stanley (age 32) and his wife Susanna (age 31) came to Massachusetts in 1635 and there were no children listed with this couple.

Per the Mass.gov website, the Hill Cemetery was laid out in 1669, a year before the town was separated from Hadley Plantation. The earliest markers were made of wood, so have not survived.

*The following information was provided by Kevin Avery 47024642:

2009 research by NEHGS (See Great Migration Series, Vol VI, pp 450-454) names no children of Christopher and Susanna, and goes on to state that the nature of his will further suggests that this was the case.

Also, no one of European descent was born in Mass in 1620, except Ofeanus Hopkins, who was born at sea during the Mayflower voyage. It is far more likely she was born in England and came over in the 1630s.
