Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Galbreath Booth, age 80, of Route 2, Vidalia, Ga., who died at Bethany Home for Ladies here on Saturday, May 30, 1981 following an extended illness, were held on Monday, June 1, 1981 at 3:00 p.m. at the New Corinth Baptist Church.


The Rev. Bill Sweat officiated and interment followed in Galbreath Cemetery. Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Ike Galbreath, David Galbreath, Donald Galbreath, Tim Galbreath, Mike Tippett and Neal Tippett served as active pallbearers. Cousins served as honorary pallbearers.


The Montgomery County native was the widow of the late Manning Mobley Booth and the daughter of the late William Hugh and Kate Fiveash Galbreath. She was a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church. She had spent her lifetime in Montgomery County.


The deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Bennett, Bethpage, Tenn., Mrs. Sara Hitchcock, Uvalda, Ga., and Mrs. Betty Hope, Brunswick, Ga.; two sons, Everette M. Booth, Walthourville, Ga. and Earl R. "Bob" Booth, Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, Walter Del and I.D. Galbreath, Vidalia and Theron Galbreath, Canada; several nieces and nephews.
