Mrs. Ethel Booth Bennett, age 93, died Friday, May 22, 2020, in Meadows Health in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Toombs County, living in Brunswick most of her life and returned to Toombs County several years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manny Booth and Florence Galbreath Booth; father of her children, Vernon Lovell Bennett; one beloved son, James Lovell Bennett; one granddaughter, Jamie Bennett; and three brothers, Everette Booth, Bob Booth and Gus Booth.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by two daughters, Crystol Bennett Scott and husband Garrett of Bethpage, Tennessee, and Jane Bennett Grimsley and husband Gary of Hortense, Georgia; two sisters, Betty Booth Hope of Brunswick, and Sara Booth Hitchcock of Cedar Crossing; five grandchildren, Tim Grimsley, Scott Grimsley and wife Marci, both of Waycross, Georgia, Richard Scott of Bethpage, Elizabeth Scott Hicks of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Jim Poole of Kansas; Pam Crews Bennett, the mother of her deceased granddaughter, Jamie Bennett; eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including a devoted cousin, Kathy Galbreath Lynn and a niece, Teresa Booth Tracy.

She was buried in the Galbreath Cemetery, and Mrs. Bennett's daughters are planning a Celebration of Her Life at a later date.
