Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Anderson Burke, age 92, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Rev. Stan McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery. Mrs. Burke died Sunday in Parsons. She was born October 17, 1917 in Poplar Springs to the late William Lester and Susie Utley Autry. She was a retired Dental Assistant and Secretary for Dr. Maurice Bateman and a member of First United Methodist Church of Lexington. Mrs. Burke loved her family. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alton Anderson and Harry Burke, Sr., her daughter, Linda Fesmire, her step-mother, Bertha Autry, and her two half-brothers, Faye Autry and W. L. Autry, Jr. Mrs. Burke is survived by her two sons, John Allen Anderson (Ann) of Lexington and Jimmy Anderson (Mary Ann) of Lawrenceville, GA, her son-in-law, Tommy Fesmire of Linden, four grandchildren, Jim and Andy Anderson, Dawn Pogue, and Karen Kenney, and three great grandchildren, Josh and Jordan Kenney, and Adalyn Anderson.
