Jared was taken from his family & friends by a drunk driver. He attended North Shore High School. He later joined the U.S. Army, where he served honorably, doing a year tour of duty in Iraq before returning to his Fort Sill, Oklahoma post November, 2006. At his January 25, 2007 Fort Sill Memorial Service, fellow soldiers told stories of brave acts he did while serving in Iraq, earning him various medals, awards, and ribbons, some awarded posthumously. He joined his mother Rochelle and father Frank Reid in heaven. He left behind his best friend of half his life, Steven Bame, Steven's parents Michael and Esther Bame, and many other special friends who miss him dearly.
