Meta Margaretha Rohwedder was born January 29, 1854, in Grossenrade, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the daughter of Johann and Wiebke (Jurgens) Rohwedder. She immigrated to the United States with her parents to Davenport, Iowa. She married Matthias H. Lucht on January 14, 1873, in Davenport and were later divorced. She married Ferdinand Wulf on April 14, 1897, in Davenport.

Surviving are her husband, Ferdinand; three daughters, Wilhelmine (Jacob) Brammann, Emma (Herman) Stoltenberg and Agnes (William) Wood; grandchildren; and one brother, Claus (Elizabeth) Rohwedder of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and one brother, Heinrich Rohwedder.
