Church Hill - Burlie Eugene (Gene) Sizemore, 57, Route 7 Messick Ave., Church Hill, was pronounced dead on arrival at 1 p.m. yesterday at Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center. A native of Rogersville, he had lived in Church Hill for the past 32 years and was a former employee of the Mead Corp., and a staff representative for United Steele Workers of America. He attended McPheeter's Bend Baptist Church and was a member of Colonial Heights Eagles Club. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Woreign War Joseph Rogers Post No 9543. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Lorene Hurd Sizemore, Church Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (marilyn) Cradic and Mrs. Jim (claudette) Ketron, both of Church Hill; one son, Gary Sizemore, Church Hill; his stepmother, Mrs. Pearl Blessing Sizemore, Church Hill; two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Frankie) Bass, Surgoinsville. Friends may call from 7-9 tonight at Wilson Funeral Home in Church Hill. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Pendleton officiating. Burial will be in Church Hill Memory Gardens with military rites conducted by Church Hill V.F.W. Post No. 9754
