Matthew A. Frederick, 47, of Hanover, died Monday morning at the York Hospital, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Born in Johnstown, he was the son of Genevieve (Barrett)Day of Elmira, N.Y. and the late Harry Frederick. He was the companion of Jacquelyn (McWilliams)Redding.
Matthew was owner and operator of Matthew A. Frederic Trucking Co. M&C, in Hanover, for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Eagles Club; and the Hanover Home Association.
Surviving in addition to his mother and companion are his former wife, Cynthia D. Frederick of Hanover, two daughters, Sarah E. Frederick and Katie M. Frederick, both of Hanover, three brothers, Patrick Frederick of Elmira N.Y., Albert Frederick Jr. of Strongstown and Harold Frederick of Kearny, N.J., four sisters, Patty Hamilton of Elmira, N.Y., Janet Lichentfels of Robinson, Mary Ann Cook of Carrolltown, and Betty Smiley of Colver.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. John A Szada Jr. of St Vicent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
