Benally died Sept. 18 in Ganado. He was born Aug. 9, 1960, in Fort Defiance into the Edgewater People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Benally graduated from Window Rock High in 1979 and attended UNM. He was an auto mechanic who enjoyed restoring classic cars and attending bike rallies.
Survivors include his daughters, Wenona B. Jefferson of Twin Lakes, Wiyanna B. Benally of Gilbert, Ariz.; brothers, Delbert Benally of Santa Domingo, Elbert Benally of Albuquerque; sisters, Shirley Benally of Crystal, Marilyn Curley of Gamerco and one grandchild.
Benally was preceded in death by Norman Benally.
Pallbearers will be Delbert Benally, James Yazzie, Manuel Francis, Herbert Brown, Jasper Kee and Elbert Benally.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Crystal Chapter House.
