This is my Mom's Dad. Grandpa Higgins served in WW2 where he received the Purple Heart among other medals. Grandpa Higgins was a truck driver for most of his life. He was married to my Grandma Clara first and they had 4 children together. He married my Grandma Lyda second and stayed married to her for 11 years until his death. He and Grandma Clara were married for 35 years when they divorced. Grandpa Higgins always had to have a comb handy for his hair. He was always combing what little he had and he didn't want anyone to touch his hair. All of us grandkids would mess with his hair and run before he could catch us. He is deeply missed by us all.
