Union Civil War Soldier, Prisoner of War. He enlisted when he was 15 and served with the 4th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry, Company A. He was captured at the Battle of Chickamauga on September 20, 1863 and taken as a prisoner-of-war to Andersonville. After eleven months he died from debilities while still in captivity. He was 17 years old. There is a cenotaph in his memory affixed to the side of his family's monument at Spring Grove Cemetery in Hamilton County, Ohio. Two of his brothers also served in the Civil War. Drausin Wulsin served with the 137th Ohio National Guard Infantry. Lucien Wulsin served with Eugene with the 4th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry.
