Graveside services for Ralph "Popi" Gross, 90, Tyler, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.

Mr. Gross died Nov. 20, 2006, in Tyler.

He was born Feb. 7, 1916, in New York City, N.Y., to Michael and Ada Rosenburg Gross. He was branch manager for Penland Distributors and had lived in Tyler 27 years, moving from Dallas. He served four years in the Army during World War II, where he was a Prisoner of War for 27 months. He received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was a member of American Legion.

He was preceded in death by brother, Lewis Gross, and grandson, David Monett.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jane Gross, Tyler; sons, Clark Garvin, Norfolk, Va., and Johnny Redwine, California; daughters, Christy Lathan, Tyler, Carol Garvin, Wilburton, Okla., and Lucinda Monett, Dallas; sister, Dorothy Kurcius, Florida; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
