Ken was the son of Milton Alford Griswold and Beatrice (Brudahl) Griswold. He is survived by his sister Zelpha Bernice Haug (Ordean "Dean"), his nephew Terry D. Haug and niece Karen F. (Haug) Delisi.
His maternal grandparents were Ole Ludvig 'Louis' Brudahl and Ida Marie (Ottesen) Brudahl. Ida was the daughter of Jacob Lemwig Ottesen and Inga Hermundsdatter (Barsness) Ottesen.
His paternal grandparents were Horace R. Griswold and Roblina (Conat) Griswold.

Hi Jill,
It is flattering to have someone this interested in what I did -- I must remember now to keep my humble Norwegian personality! Your Holiday Season sounded like a real "hoot" -- have you thought of what a great new reality TV show idea you may have there? I'm glad you all had a great time -- my holiday was very quiet and reserved with dinner in the dining room of the Officer's Club here at Fleet Landing. We are fortunate to have an excellent chef! My dinner companions were a retired Navy Chaplain (Episcopal Priest) and his wife and another retired Chaplain. My mother would be proud of me !!!!!
As for my formal schooling -- Bachelors from North Dakota State University in Fargo, Masters from College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Doctorate from Columbia University in New York City. I am not concerned that a course in Abnormal Psych was not required in a general Psych curriculum because, unless you are going into Clinical Psych, there are several other areas that would be of more practical value as most of our work is with "normal" individuals! In addition, a survey of (or intro to) Abnormal would usually be included in a General Psych introduction course
My work was in University teaching and counseling with my last 20 years before retirement on the faculty at Purdue University in Indiana. My area of interest was "learning and behavior" -- with a dissertation on attitudes, measurement and change.
My first retirement was as a Navy officer -- which enabled me to enter Fleet Landing. At the time I came to Fleet Landing, entrance was limited to officers of the Military services. Today, with the marketing competition, entrance is open to anyone who can pay the entrance fee! Things do change with time!!
Don' t remember whether I ever mentioned or not that my grandmother Ida Marie Otteson and Louis Brudahl became divorced after having a family of 8 children.
