Hood Chatham Jr. died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, in Burlingame, Calif., after a short illness. He was 85. Arrangements for a celebration of his life are pending.
Mr. Chatham served in World War II as a lead navigator in the 305th Bomber Group of the 8th Air Force. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service.
Mr. Chatham, a native of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, was a well-respected architect in San Francisco for some 40 years.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Margaret; his children, Hood III and Alexis; and two grandchildren.
