Mrs. Benjamin Blake Adams, Sr., aged 63, died at her home about three miles north of the city, Monday afternoon about 4 o'clock, after being stricken wath a sudden attack of acute indigestion.
Mrs. Adams recently became subject to the illness of which she died, but her death was unexpected at the time and was a great shock to her family and many friends.
Monday afternoon at 3 0'clock she appeared to be in fairly good health, but before 4 o'clock she was suddenly seized with severe illness and died almost instantly.
Mrs. Adams leaves a large number of relatives, who will receive the heart felt sympathy of many friends in this city and community.
She leaves her husband, one brother, Mr. C.M. Wright, and one sister, Mrs. Paul Rhodes, both of this city; six children, Mrs. C.C. Adams of Clinton, Ga., Mrs. Clyde Hattaway of Davisboro, Mrs. Annie Ansley, Miss Carrie Adams
and Mr. Chauncey Adams of this city, and Mr. Monroe Adams of Atlanta.
The funeral services were held from the residence of Mr. C.M. Wright Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Dr. D.W. Brannen, pastor of the Presbyterian church, of which Mrs. Adams was a member, officiating. The remains were interred in the city cemetery.
