OBITUARY: VIRGINIA MARTIN

Virginia Martin, the daughter of Mathew H. and Elsie Tann Adey, was born Wednesdy, April 16, 1913 at Oskaloosa, She graduated from the Oskaloosa High School. Virginia was employed as a sales clerk at the old Graham's Leader Department Store in Oskaloosa, and for 25 years , she was a nurse aide in the Operating Room recovery room at the Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa.
On December 8, 1933, she was married to William McKinley
"Max" Martin at Lancaster, Missouri, and he died October 4, 1969, She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa.
On Saturday, February 13, 1999, Virginia died at her home in Oskaloosa, at the age 85 years, 9 months, and 28 days.
She is survived by a daughter and her husband: Nancy and Keith Garrett of Oskaloosa; a stepdaughter and her husband: Marjorie and Raymond Sanders of Los Angeles, California; a daughter in law: Joy Martin of New London: 4 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bill Martin: a stepson: Dick Martin: 2 brothers; and her identical twin sister: Josephine Ryle.
