Clarice S. Harris, 90, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2007.
Clarice was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Ada, Okla. In 1938, the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce moved Harris Manufacturing from Oklahoma, where they began making western clothing for Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Hank Williams Sr. and many other celebrities. In 1949, she founded and operated Harris Costumes for 50 years, and was a member of Connell Baptist Church for 60 years. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leon Harris.
