Ellen was born to William W. and Mary Mason Wilson Gilkison. She lived in the Maysville area most of her life.
A homemaker she started working as a seamstress with the former Merz Brothers Department Store in 1956 and retired in 1983 when it was Kline's. She also did alterations from her home and piece work for Margaret's Dress shop and Country Classics.
She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 71 years, assisting the choir for many of those years and sewing robes for the church Cherub Choir. She was also a member of Maysville Womens Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce W. Love of Arlington, Virginia; her son J.B. Jr. (Susan) Love of Mansfield, Oh.; two grandsons James B. Love III of Winston-Salem, N.C., Darrin M. Love of Akron, Oh.; twin granddaughters born on her 70th birthday, Amanda S. Love and Kara L. Love, both of Columbus, Oh.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Love on 16 Apr 1961; a sister Mildred Gill; and brothers, John Phillips, Graham Theodore, and Paul Gilikson.
