   Atha H. Hargrove was born in Pulaski, Tenn., July 15, 1879 and departed this life Nov. 3, 1926 at the age of 47 years, 4 months, 19 days.
   He was married to Miss Murl Jackson in 1896 and to this union was born three children, two boys and one girl.  Mrs. Hargrove departed this life April 10, 1924.  In 1925 he was married to Miss Fay Greenfield.  Mr Hargrove became a Christian during his illness.
   He is survived by his wife and son of El Reno, three brothers of Pulaski, Tenn., one sister in California.
   The body will be taken to Amarillo, Tex., for burial.

 Atha Hoover Hargrove was born 15 Jul. 1875, Prospect Station, Giles Co., Tn. He migrated to Amarillo, Potter Co., Tx. by 1904. He moved to El Reno, Canadian Co. Ok. where he spent the rest of his life. He died there, 3 of Nov. 1926.
Atha Hargrove saw himself as a Ladies man, he wore a bowler hat, smoked cigars, drank excessively and was known as a braggart.
 The first two children of Atha and his wife Merle died when very young. The 1st born was a girl named Aleen and the 2nd named for his father Atha Jr. Soon after Atha Hargrove moved his family to El Reno Ok. Merle became ill and was hospitalized for Major surgery. This was in 1924 she died of what is called surgical
Shock. Her son John William Hargrove was at her bedside and promised her to complete his education. Merle had died intestate she did however have an insurance policy with John William her son the beneficiary. Atha H. Hargrove had to go to Court to be named guardian of his son John William Hargrove. John William Hargrove could not receive the insurance until his birth certificate was
amended, the original read," No name Hargrove," Male, Live birth, Parents A. H. Hargrove and Merle Jackson.
