As a member of the Army Selective Service and a Draftee, PFC Davis served our country until October 20th, 1969 in Quang Duc, South Vietnam. He was 26 years old and was married. He served with Alpha Company, 5th Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division,(AMBL), USARV.
He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Silver Star Medal for Gallantry in Action, The Bronze Star Medal for Bravery, The Army Achievement Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, the Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
