NEW HARMONY - Services for Carmen Babb, 92, New Harmony, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Caldwell officiating.

Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery under direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors, Lindale.

Mrs. Babb died Jan. 15, 2007, in a Tyler hospice.

She was born March 2, 1914, in Whitehouse to Archie and Nolia Terry McGill and was a lifelong resident of the Tyler area. She had lived in New Harmony for more than 62 years, where she was a hairdresser and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Babb, in 1989; two brothers, Bobby McGill and Curtis McGill; sister, Edith Wise; and grandson, Jay Harris.

Survivors include her son, Archa Babb, Tyler; daughters, Nelda MacFall, Odessa, Carolyn Harris and Doris Holmes, both of New Harmony; sister, Coy Morriss, Huffman; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Deacons of New Harmony Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
