A retired third grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School, she was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association and Frankfort Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of East Side Christian Church. Tourists Club, A.A.U.W. She was a graduate of Butler University and a member of the Grey Ladies, a Red Cross Volunteer and a member of the Eastern Star.
The daughter of William D. and Ella I. Stunkard Groves. She Was born August 12, 1894 in Clinton County. She was married August 7, 1955 to Lonnie Anderson, who died June 22, 1965.
Surviving are two step-sons, Calvin and Kenneth of Frankfort; three step-daughters, Mary Hinton of Frankfort, Ruth Saler of Indianapolis, and Connie West of Merritt Island, Florida; several nieces and nephews; 17 step-grandchildren, 20 step-great-grandchildren, and a step-great-great-grandchild.
