Private First Class Nathaniel Bullock was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, PFC Bullock served our country until January 15th, 1967 in Binh Hoa, South Vietnam. He was 19 years old and was not married. It was reported that Nathaniel died from small arms fire. His body was recovered. PFC Bullock is on panel 14E, line 032 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
I had the distinct honor of reading Nathaniel Bullock's name at the Reading of the Names Ceremony on November 8, 2002. His sacrifice for our country will never be forgotten. Bill Byrne.
I never knew you personally, but knew your sister who was a teacher at my elementary school. I'm also from Warren County, belong to Oak Level United Church of Christ in Manson, and share your surname. I have etched your name at the VVM and the NC State memorial. He served with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, "Big Red One", USARV.
He was awarded The Combat Medical Badge(CMB), The Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal and The National Defense Service Medal.
