Funeral services for Mr. Elmer Virgil McAdams, 77, of Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Trichell and Rev. Jason Thompson. Mr. McAdams ashes will be interred at a private family service at a later date under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. McAdams was born September 20, 1929 in Oak Grove, LA and passed away January 8, 2007 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was a devoted family man, an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan. He was a retired master mechanic for Ryan Chevrolet and retired after 48 years. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.

He was preceded in death by one daughter: Pam McAdams; sister: Billie Plumley Sanderson and one granddaughter: Mica Lightsey.

Mr. McAdams is survived by his wife of 55 years: Lou McAdams; sons: Mike McAdams and wife, Connie of Gilmer, TX, Rev. Larry McAdams and wife Karen of Fairbanks, LA, Richard McAdams and wife, Vickie of Monroe, LA, and Stephen "Bo" McAdams and wife, Melissa of West Monroe, LA; daughter: Susan Anthony and husband, Danny of Sterlington, LA; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sisters: Evelyn Mitchell of Grass Valley, CA, Dee Embry of Houston, TX, and Joan Albritton of Point, LA.
