She was born Oct. 12, 1934, in Terre Haute to the Rev. Lloyd and Wanita Johnson. She is survived by her mother, Wanita Johnson; her husband of 34 years, Milton "Barney" Barnett; a daughter, Kathy (Bill) Sink; three stepdaughters, Barbara (Bert) Williams, Rhonda Armstrong and Nancy Kusky; two sisters, June Mahoney and Jo Ann (Delbert) Gray; two grandchildren, Larry and Kevin Arnold; eight stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 13 great-stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Lloyd Johnson.
Jean retired from Tuchman Cleaners in 1999 after 27 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nineveh and Order of the Eastern Star 466, Nineveh chapter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
