Clarence L. Hoofard, 76, of Lexington died Monday, July 24, at Oklahoma City. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Shackleford and Maxie Rogers-Hawk officiating. Burial will follow at the Wanette Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Hoofard was born April 13, 1930, in Trousdale, to Walter H. and Evelyn Ester (Catlege) Hoofard. He joined the United States Army serving in Korea. He married Lois Cottrell on May 17, 1955, in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Floyd Hoofard; and sisters Gussie Cox and infant sister Laveena Hoofard.
He is survived by his wife; sons Tobey Hoofard and wife Angela of Oklahoma City and Dale Hoofard of Lexington; daughters Suzanne Bickle and husband Keith of Owasso and Marianne Kennedy and husband Chad of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
