Mrs Shirley Ann Renoe, 24, Rt 2 Box 12A and her stepson Thomas Dean Renoe, 8, died Saturday of injuries suffered in a two-car auto accident east of Island City.
She was born Sept. 24, 1948 in La Grande, the daughter of Fred and Gladys Fager. She attended La Grande High School in 1966. She worked as a nurses aid in La Grande and Pendleton before marrying Gary Kenneth Renoe on Feb 19, 1969 in La Grande. He suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Thomas Dean was born April 18, 1064 in La Grande. He attended the Christian church and school in Elgin.
Survivors include Widower and father Gary; her parents Mr. and Mrs Fred Fager, La Grande; his mother Patsy Moody, La Grande; her sisters Thelma Ansel, Bend, Maxine Esley, Portland, Carol Hall, Pendleton; her brothers Ray Marquis, La Grande, Bob Marquis, Fall Creek; his grandparents Mr and Mrs Manual Erickson, Elgin, Mr and Mrs James Boopth, Baker, Mavis Booth, La Grande, and Mrs Philip Renoe, Portland. Many other relatives also survive.
Dual services will be at 2p.m. Tuesday at Elgin Christian Church with Pastor William E. Miller presiding. Concluding services and interment will follow at Elgin Cemetery.
Daniels Valley Funeral Chapel, La Grande, is in charge of arrangements.
