Donald R. Adams, 78, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, in Texarkana, Texas, after a short illness.
He was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Macomb, Okla. He lived most of his early years in Shawnee, Tecumseh and California.

Donald retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1978. Afterwards, he was a consultant for Pine Telephone Company in Broken Bow.

Don was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing with many friends. He was a fishing guide on Broken Bow Lake for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Grayson Adams of Broken Bow; brother, James V. Adams of Shawnee; son, Ted W. Adams of Broken Bow; daughter, Janet S. Adams of Houma, La.; four grandchildren, Jesse Adams and Jay Adams of Santa Monica, Calif., Eric Zelasko and Adam Zelasko of Houma, La.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Gaskill Funeral Chapel

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Tecumseh Cemetery.
