Dorothy LaDonne Beckman Beard, age 83, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at a Topeka hospital.
Dorothy was born July 5, 1920 in Harrisburg, PA to Raymond and Mildred Kiene Beckman.
She married Jay D. Beard, they are divorced.
Dorothy worked 18 years and four months for the Kansas Department Revenue, Titles & Registration Division.
Survivors include, daughter & son-in-law Pam & Chuck Whitfield, Topeka; grandchildren, Carri & her husband, Mike Shughart, Craig & his wife, Dana McNutt, all of Topeka; step-granddaughter, Melissa Cloaninger, Oklahoma City, OK; and 11 great-grandsons, Craig, Michael, Corey, Christopher, Aaron, Skyler, Taylor, Brandon, Patrick, Rian, & Tanner.
Mrs. Beard will lie in state Thursday, April 8, 2004 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2004 at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
