Miss Mary Ina Lipscomb, former dean of women at the University of Texas at Arlington passed away last Wednesday morning in an Arlington hospital, She was 92.

Funeral was held in Moore Funeral Chaped in Arlington. The body was brought to Albany, where graveside rites were conducted. Interment was in the family plot.

Miss Lipscomb was born in Cameron, daughter of the late Wyatt and Mildred Lipscomb. They came to Albany in 1890, where the family was reared, Miss Lipscomb attending the local schools. The family resided just north of town, where the Albany Airport is located, now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ayers. Mrs. Lipscomb attended the Albany Schools, and attended Sam Houston State College, where she received her master's degree. She taught in Arlington 46 years. She resided with a sister, Miss Lola Lipscomb who died in 1965.
Miss Lipscomb was a distinguished teacher and dean. The Ina Lipscomb Dormitory on the Texas University at Arlington is a memorial to her.

She was a member of the Arlington Presbyterian Church.
