26 Dec 2006: Grace E. Brommer, 82, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away Saturday morning, December 23, in Tremont Health & Rehab Center, Tremont. Born June 19, 1924 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Stella Weand Lightcap. She was a 1942 graduate of Pottsville High School and had been employed for 20 years as a secretary in Pine Grove High School. She was a member and past president of the former Pine Grove American Legion Aux. Post 274, past president of County American Legion Aux., past secretary of Pennsylvania American Legion Aux. She was a member of Mary E. Moore Chapter #372 O.E.S. in Pine Grove. Preceding her in death were sisters Sara Smith, Helen McHugh, Anna Lightcap, Betty Jane Lightcap, Catherine Freeman, Marion Polinchock, and brothers George Lightcap, William Lightcap, Henry Lightcap, and Phares Lightcap. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Clarence S. Brommer, son Clarence S. Brommer, II of Allentown, daughter Sallie L. Wetzel of Pine Grove, 4 grandchildren, and brothers Robert Lightcap of Brookhaven, PA, and Jim Lightcap of Scottsdale, AZ. Funeral Thursday, December 28, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, Dr. Richard W. Schoenleber officiating. Burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. [Lebanon Daily News]
