On April 7, 2006, Clifford A. Brown, 87, journeyed to Heaven to join the Lord. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Shawnee Mission, KS. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Clifford was born in Mincy, MO and had lived in the K.C. area most of his life. He worked as a supervisor for National Manufacturing for 33 years before going to work for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in 1985. Clifford was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He was also a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawnee Mission, KS. Clifford enjoyed bowling at Mission Bowl in the Seniors Leagues and was a member of the School of the Ozarks Alumni Assoc. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was preceded in death by son, Richard Lee Brown and granddaughter, Denise Brown Haines. Survivors include his wife, Rose Brown, of the home; 2 daughters and sons in law, Donna and Bob Humiston, Merriam, KS; Annette and Jim Bennett, Mission, KS; daughter in law, Jean Brown, Kansas City, KS; sister, Naomi Devers, CA; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. Clifford's family would like to extend a special thank you to all of his St. Luke's Hospice caregivers.
