Mr. Manville Dies
Lester H. Manville, 68, of 223 South Fillmore St., died at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital in Alton. He had been a patient two days.
Born Aug. 2, 1900, in Glenarm, he was married April 1, 1919, in Springfield. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Stella; five sons, Arthur of Chino, Calif., Roger of Florissant, Mo., Robert of Bergston Air Force Base, Tex., and James and William, both of Highland.
Two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Myra) Colcum of Fontana, Calif., and Mrs. Della Cabbage of St. Jacob; one brother, Fred of Vandalia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary McIntire and Mrs. Alice Leroy, both of Carlinville, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call at Pletcher Funeral after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Frantz officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
